Word of the Day #8: Prolific

Prolific [pruhlif-ik]: Highly productive; fruitful.

1-) The prolific writer published a short story every week for a year straight. 2-) Women in antiquity were more prolific than women today. The fertility rate has dropped to about two kids per woman across much of the developed world. 3-) Amazon is the most prolific company in the history of mankind.

Word of the Day is a fun idea I came up with to help my friends advance their English proficiency. Perfect for students of English as a foreign language and native English speakers who want to sharpen up their vocabulary. All words and sample sentences are my own. Feel free to share the entries with your friends and make your own contextual sentences in the comment section below.
