The word of the day is “radical acceptance.” Radical acceptance is the conscious decision to accept every aspect of reality. It is recognizing that often we cannot control people, situations, circumstances, and sometimes even ourselves. In monotheism this can be summarized as “Be still and know that I am God.” Things lose their power when we stop trying to control them.
